500 Followers on Twitch!

Thanks everyone who is following us on Twitch.tv. We’re going to discuss doing something for everyone who has taken the time to follow us. We’re also preparing for hosting that open tournament. I have been considering a massive website update to simplify things a bit and open up our channel to more streamers. We need more casters as well. We may be short a few nights these weeks, but we’re working on filling out the schedule again. Please be understanding as reliable and competent individuals with the capability to stream are surprisingly challenging to find. Thanks again for everyone who tunes in and participates!

Monday Night Masters

It’s been too long since there’s been some activity here. We’re changing up the schedule, removing 2v2 night in favor of the Master’s League King of the Hill. I just wanted to thank everyone who’s been participating in our events, and the casting crew who is here just about every night providing hours of games and commentary. We officially have a prize pool from the advertisements that is waiting to be put to use. We will be hosting and organizing an open tournament in the future with hopes of bringing out a lot of folks for some great sc2. Stay tuned!

Medal Earners

I just got around to updating the medal earners – so if you won a medal in the month of November, it should be appearing on reddit soon. If I happened to miss you, please send a message on the contact form – include your reddit name and starcraft name. I will be checking these against our records as well. We’re slowly working on getting EU events established, and are in the planning phases of a tournament with a prize pool. When we’re ready, you’ll know about that one! In the meantime – we’re always looking for more streamers (especially EU types) and participants in events! Remember you can win some flair on reddit, and have a good time with some decent folks. Learn what’s happening in your league or grab a few practice partners while you watch and discuss the games.

Chat with potential EU crew – updates about not having an Open

Hey everyone.  We’ve been running the daily KotH’s as scheduled.  Right now, it’s a bit tough for us to host an Open in the capacity that we have in the past.  Our staff that would typically host these events has been a bit busy.  As you noticed, we have a lot of fresh faced casters as well.  We will continue with the King of the Hill events, and are considering bringing back a Master’s night.

I know I’ve been saying this forever, but we are actually due a check from JTV.  This money will go towards the prize pool for an Open that will be planned and advertised well in advance.  Until we figure out when this is happening, we likely will not be having a tournament unless someone steps up to host a tournament every week.  Otherwise, we may cut back to a once a month type schedule – and/or cut back the hours of casted time for the tournaments.

I also spoke with a bloke from the EU servers earlier today about the start of an EU KotH and tournament series.  If all goes as planned, we’ll be casting 8 hours a day, 4 for the EU KotH and 4 for the NA.  My EU counterpart is trying to assemble a crew, and we’re planning some of the scheduling and website changes/updates that would need to occur to accommodate our EU friends.

Blizzcon Weekend

This weekend is blizzcon!  We probably won’t be having a diamond KotH tonight – partially because Insigma has had some ISP problems – causing him to disconnect for a few seconds at a time at random intervals.  He is having someone out today to fix it, so he may make a post and do a KotH tonight anyway!  No open tomorrow, because we’re going to be watching the blizzcon sc2 finals!  We still intend on hosting the daily KotH’s but may be looking at a new format for the tournaments in the future when we come back next week.  We’re still in the planning phases of those changes however.

We should be resuming with the gold KotH on Sunday.  Apologies to those who missed out because of IPL and MLG the past 2 weeks.  All of these major tournaments so close to one another!  GO ESPORTS!
