Looking for qualified streamers & tournament administrators!

We at rCraftGaming have a little bit of a problem on our hands–due to many of our members moving on to much fancier and more famous projects, not having as much time as we used to, and the awesome desire to expand, we are currently understaffed! Since we provide our events for the community, we thought it best to look to the community itself for assistance! We know that many of you have expressed a desire to help out and that there are certainly a great many volunteers all around the Internet eager to help. Currently we are looking for assistance in two main areas: STREAMING and ADMINISTRATION. The application process and requirements are listed below.

Streamers

As I’m sure many of you have noticed, some of our nightly KotHs have gone unbroadcasted since no one was around to run the event. If you are brought on as a streamer, you will be asked to:

  • Make an announcement post on /r/starcraft and WellPlayed at least 4 hours in advance of the event.
  • Manage sign-ups and player lists
  • Stream and cast the event (must be able to stream at 720p with a decent, reliable frame rate)
  • Devote roughly 5 hours (from ~7pm-12pm EDT) to managing the event
  • Reliably show up every week to run the KotH. No-shows are a big hassle!

If you are interested in this position, please fill out the FOLLOWING APPLICATION.
THE POSITION IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO PEOPLE CAPABLE OF STREAMING AND CASTING–WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR PEOPLE ONLY ABLE TO CAST AN EVENT!
Once your application has been submitted, we will contact you if you appear to be a good candidate. At that point, an example casting VOD will be requested and put before our FEARSOME GAUNTLET OF JUDGMENT

Administrators

As it stands now, our current rCraftGaming Open is a 64-man tournament. However, for our first Open with our current team (which was thrown together in only a few days), we received over 125 registrants. This being the case, we would love to expand to a larger, 128-man tournament format. But, this isn’t even remotely feasible until we have enough people to help manage score reports, maintain the bracket, answer questions, and orchestrate forfeits and missing players. An rCraftGaming administrator would help with these tasks during our weekly Saturday Open. The following requirements must be met:

  • A computer capable of running an internet browser and SCII at the same time
  • Being reliably available on Saturdays from roughly 12pm-10pm EDT (the full schedule depends on the number of other administrators available, but at present we can’t allow for conflicts within this range)
  • Decent people skills are a plus, as managing angry internet nerds who woke up an hour early to get a forfeit win in some half-bit tournament can be quite the task.

If you are interested in this position, please fill out the FOLLOWING APPLICATION.

In closing, none of these events are possible without the hard work of a lot of people and a lot of interest and involvement from the community. We want to be there to provide daily content and fun competitions for all strata of players, but it turns out we can’t do that with so few of us. WE NEED YOU TO HELP US SUPPORT ESPORTS!
