tl;dr

  • Sign up between 12:00 and 3:00pm Eastern time the day of the tournament
  • Be in the chat room with your nickname as your Character Name + Code (e.g. AwesomeDude550) by 3:30pm for announcements and bracket link
  • Use the correct starting maps (listed below)
  • Report your matches completely and correctly
  • Cheating will result in being blacklisted from future tournaments

Schedule, Information, and Rules

Information

All players must register with their Battle.net username, character code, race, and league. The first 128 players to register, starting at 12 EST, will be entered into the bracket on challonge. All entrants will be manually entered by Crumblekins (crumblekins.189).

All players must be in the IRC channel “rCraftGaming” by 3:30 EST. If you’re not in this channel to receive instructions, then your spot may be offered to another individual farther down the list. Please show up!

You will report wins to the admin for your designated bracket section who will be in the rcraftgaming IRC chat (RokB, Toast, Inhumane, Jabagawee, ShotgunD, or Crumblekins).

ALL LEAGUES ARE ELIGIBLE, NA SERVER ONLY.

PRIZE: First place receives 1 month of reddit gold and a gold star next to their name on reddit! Second and third place will receive a silver and bronze star respectively. Bragging rights, fame, honor, and glory included.

12:00: Registration opens SIGNUP LINK

3:00: Registration closes

3:30: Players must report to the IRC channel by this point.

4:00: Ro128 Begins (Map: Antiga Shipyard, Bo1)

4:30: Ro64 Begins (Map: MLG Shattered Temple, Bo1)

5:00: Ro32 Begins (Map: MLG Xel’naga Caverns, Bo1)

5:30: Ro16 Begins (Map: GSL Dual Sight, Bo1)

6:00: Ro8 Begins (Map: MLG Shakuras Plateau, Bo3)

8:00: Semifinals Begin (Map: MLG Antiga Shipyard, Bo3)

The 3rd Place match (Map:GSL Crevasse, Bo3) and Finals (Map: Tal’darim Altar LE, Bo5) will take place when all Semifinal matches have been played.

(NOTE: The time for rounds are only important in determining forfeits. If you and your partner are prepared to play before the scheduled time, please go ahead and play! Only report forfeits given the posted schedule, taking into account some consideration on your opponents part.)

Rules and Regulations

RULE #1: If a player is playing in a streamed match or game, that player may not run a stream at the same time.

Software and Add-ons

1. All players are required to provide their own Battle.net account with an active Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty license on the North America (NA) Server.

2. All players must be playing on the most recent official Blizzard patch

i. The current patch is 1.4.1

3. Use of any third party add-ons is prohibited.

 

Gameplay Rules

1. All games will be played under the following settings:

i. Category: Melee

ii. Mode: 1v1

iii. Speed: Faster

2. Players must use the following settings:

i. Toast Notifications must be disabled in the Battle.net options.

ii. Player status must be set to busy

iii. Players must idle in the Battle.net chat channel “rCraftGaming” for the entirety of the tournament

3. Sufficient warning must be given before the game is paused, generally in the form of a request (such as typing “p,” “pp,” or “pause” in the in-game chat).

4. Only rCraftGaming tournament administrators may connect to the game as a spectator or referee.

i. If the rCraftGaming official loses connection during the game, the game will proceed until finished.

If you believe that the opponent has violated any of the above rules, contact Crumblekins or Taolbi within 30 minutes of the end of the game. No official action will be taken on a rule violation without a replay, so please be prepared to submit one.

 

Forfeit Conditions

1. Breaking any of the Gameplay Rules #2-4 will result in a forfeit for the game.

2. Late arrival for games will result in the following punishments:

i. 15 Minutes after announcement: Forfeit of the Game

ii. 25 Minutes after announcement: Forfeit of the Match

3. Any indication of cheating will result in not only a Match Forfeit, but disqualification from this and any future rCraftGaming events. This includes, but is not limited to:

i. Listening to the stream while the player is playing in a streamed match

ii. The use of any drop hack, map hack, or other add-on which grants an unfair advantage to its user

 

Replay Conditions

A game will be replayed if any of the following conditions are met:

1. The game reaches a “stalemate,” as defined by Blizzard.

2. If either player loses connection with the Battle.net NA Server, unless an rCraftGaming official is present to determine a clear winner, or if one participant surrenders.

3. If either player experiences a computer, monitor, or accessory malfunction not reparable during a pause in gameplay.

Map Pool

1. Prior to the start of a match, each player may veto one map from the map pool.

2. The loser of a game may choose any map from the map pool for the subsequent game.

3. No maps may be played more than once.
